Account and setup

Does HikrLink require a credit card to sign up?

No. The free Starter plan requires only an email address and password.

Can I use HikrLink on mobile?

Yes. The HikrLink dashboard is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers. A dedicated mobile app is on the roadmap.

Does HikrLink work with Linktree-style bio pages?

Yes. HikrLink includes a built-in bio page at no cost. Add as many links as you need. Every button is individually tracked. See the Bio Page page for setup instructions.

Short links

Do my links expire?

No, unless you set an expiry date manually. Links on the free tier stay active indefinitely within your 100-link monthly creation limit.

Can I change the destination URL of an existing link?

Yes. Open the link and click Edit. The short link slug remains the same — only the destination changes.

What redirect code does HikrLink use?

302 by default. You can switch to 301 per link in the link settings. See Short Links for when to use each.

Tracking and analytics

Why does HikrLink show more clicks than Google Analytics?

HikrLink counts at the server redirect level. GA4 counts when its JavaScript tag fires in the browser. Ad blockers and Apple ITP prevent that tag from firing in many sessions — particularly on mobile Safari. See Tracking Architecture for the full explanation.

Does HikrLink track the location of my visitors?

Country-level tracking is available on Pro+. City-level breakdown is also on Pro+. IP addresses are not stored — location is derived at request time and discarded.

Custom domains

What DNS record type do I need?

A CNAME record. The exact target value is shown in your dashboard when you add the domain. See Custom Domains.

How long does DNS propagation take?

Typically 15 minutes to 1 hour. Maximum 24 hours. If verification fails immediately, wait 30 minutes and retry.

QR codes

Can I update a QR code after printing it?

Yes. Change the destination URL of the link. The QR code automatically points to the new destination. No reprint needed.

What file format should I use for print?

SVG (Pro+) for large-format printing. PNG for digital use and small prints.

Billing

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. No annual lock-in on monthly billing. Cancel before your next billing date from Settings → Billing.

What is the refund policy?

See the Refund Policy page. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the charge date.

Privacy and compliance

Is HikrLink GDPR-compliant?

HikrLink collects only the data necessary to provide link analytics — IP address (for geo-location, not stored after processing), device type, and referrer. Data is anonymised in reporting. For enterprise data processing agreements, contact support@hikrlink.com.

Does HikrLink sell user data?

No. HikrLink does not sell or share click data with third parties outside of the integrations you explicitly configure (e.g. sGTM → Meta CAPI).
